How to Publish with IJMEBA

The International Journal of Management, Economic, Business and Accounting (IJMEBA) uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform for manuscript submission, peer review, editorial decision-making, copyediting, production, and publication.

All manuscripts must be submitted through the official IJMEBA OJS. Manuscripts submitted to the journal are evaluated according to their originality, scholarly quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's aims and scope.

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication. All eligible manuscripts are subject to editorial screening and double-anonymous peer review.

Step 1. Check the Aims and Scope

Before preparing a manuscript, authors should ensure that their research is relevant to the aims and scope of IJMEBA.

IJMEBA particularly welcomes research addressing innovation, digital transformation, sustainability, and responsible business practices in emerging economies from perspectives related to management, economics, business, and accounting.

Manuscripts that are clearly outside the journal's scope may be declined during editorial screening without external peer review.

Step 2. Read the Author Guidelines and Publication Policies

Before submission, authors must carefully read the journal's Author Guidelines and relevant publication policies, including:

Publication Ethics;
Authorship and Contributorship Policy;
Conflict of Interest Policy;
Plagiarism Policy;
Generative AI Policy;
Data Sharing and Reproducibility Policy;
Copyright and Licensing Policy;
Article Processing Charges (APC) and Waiver Policy; and
Peer Review Policy.

Step 3. Prepare the Manuscript Using the Official Template

Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the latest official IJMEBA manuscript template.

Beginning with Vol. 5 No. 3 (2026), manuscripts intended for publication in IJMEBA must use the IJMEBA Manuscript Template v2026.2.

Authors should ensure that all instructional text, examples, highlighting, and placeholders in the template are removed before submission.

The manuscript must comply with the journal's requirements concerning title, structured abstract, keywords, article structure, tables, figures, statistical reporting, declarations, citations, and references.

Step 4. Prepare Files for Double-Anonymous Peer Review

IJMEBA applies a double-anonymous peer-review process. Authors must therefore prepare the submission files appropriately.

The submission should normally include:

Title Page containing the article title, author names, affiliations, corresponding-author information, ORCID identifiers, and other author information.
Anonymized Manuscript without author names, affiliations, email addresses, ORCID identifiers, acknowledgments, or other information that may directly identify the authors.
Supplementary Materials, where relevant, such as research instruments, interview protocols, anonymized datasets, search strategies, coding frameworks, or analysis files.

Step 5. Submit the Manuscript through OJS

Authors must register or log in to the IJMEBA OJS and complete the online submission process.

During submission, authors are responsible for providing complete and accurate metadata, including:

article title;
abstract;
keywords;
full names of all authors;
institutional affiliations;
countries;
email addresses;
ORCID identifiers, where available; and
supporting information requested by the journal.

Formal manuscripts should be submitted through: IJMEBA Online Submission .

Step 6. Editorial and Technical Screening

After submission, the Editorial Office conducts an initial technical and administrative screening.

The screening includes, where applicable:

completeness of submission files and metadata;
compliance with the IJMEBA manuscript template;
compliance with the Author Guidelines;
scope relevance;
basic scholarly quality;
publication-ethics requirements;
authorship and declaration requirements; and
similarity screening.

A manuscript that does not meet the journal's minimum requirements may be returned for technical correction or declined without external peer review.

Step 7. Editorial Assessment

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assessed by the Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, Associate Editor, or Section Editor, as appropriate to the subject area.

The assigned editor evaluates the manuscript's scholarly relevance, originality, methodological adequacy, potential contribution, and suitability for external peer review.

Editors must disclose and avoid conflicts of interest when handling manuscripts.

Step 8. Double-Anonymous Peer Review

Eligible manuscripts are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

Under the double-anonymous model, the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed during the review process.

Reviewers evaluate, where relevant:

originality and contribution;
theoretical foundation;
research design and methodology;
validity and reliability of analysis;
quality of results and discussion;
conclusions and implications;
quality and relevance of references;
ethical considerations; and
overall scholarly quality.

Reviewers are requested to provide constructive, objective, confidential, and evidence-based assessments.

Step 9. Editorial Decision

The editor considers the reviewers' reports together with the manuscript's overall scholarly quality and may issue one of the following decisions:

Accept Submission;
Revisions Required;
Resubmit for Review;
Resubmit Elsewhere; or
Decline Submission.

Reviewer recommendations are advisory. The final editorial decision is made independently by the responsible editor in accordance with IJMEBA's editorial policies.

Step 10. Author Revision

When revisions are requested, authors should carefully address all editorial and reviewer comments.

Authors should normally submit:

a revised manuscript;
a point-by-point response to reviewer comments; and
an explanation for any reviewer recommendation that was not implemented.

Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers when further evaluation is required.

Step 11. Final Acceptance

A manuscript is considered accepted only after an official acceptance decision has been issued through the IJMEBA editorial system.

Article Processing Charges, where applicable, are administered only after formal acceptance and do not influence editorial or peer-review decisions.

Payment does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

Step 12. Copyediting and Language Editing

Accepted manuscripts proceed to editorial production, which may include academic-language editing, copyediting, citation and reference verification, terminology standardization, and checking the consistency of tables, figures, declarations, and metadata.

Authors may be contacted during this stage when clarification or correction is required.

Step 13. Layout and Proofreading

Following copyediting, the article is prepared using the official IJMEBA publication layout.

The production team verifies:

journal identity;
article title and authorship;
affiliations;
DOI;
volume and issue information;
page numbers;
tables and figures;
references;
license information; and
PDF quality.

Step 14. Author Proof Approval

The corresponding author may receive the final proof for verification before publication.

At this stage, only necessary corrections relating to typographical, metadata, formatting, or production errors should normally be made. Major changes to the accepted scientific content are not permitted without editorial approval.

Step 15. Publication

After completion of production quality control, the article is published in its assigned IJMEBA issue with complete bibliographic metadata, DOI, license information, and full-text PDF.

After Publication

Authors are encouraged to disseminate their published articles through appropriate scholarly and institutional channels, including personal academic profiles, institutional repositories, ORCID, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, professional networks, and institutional websites, subject to the journal's copyright and licensing policy.

Authors should use the DOI and official IJMEBA article landing page when sharing their publications.
