Publication Ethics GENAI and Malpractice

The International Journal of Management, Economic, Business and Accounting (IJMEBA) adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics, as outlined in the Statement on Publication Ethics and Malpractice. All submissions to the journal must comply with these standards to ensure the credibility and integrity of the research published. The following principles are outlined in line with Scopus regulations:

  • Originality and Integrity: Authors must ensure that their work is original and not plagiarized. Any data, ideas, or text taken from other sources must be properly cited. The use of Generative AI tools in research must be disclosed, and all AI-generated content must be appropriately attributed.

  • Transparency in Methodology and Data: Authors must provide clear and transparent descriptions of the research methods used, including any involvement of AI technologies in data collection, analysis, or interpretation. This ensures that all research is reproducible and verifiable.

  • Ethical Considerations: The journal strictly prohibits any form of academic misconduct, including but not limited to falsification of data, manipulation of research findings, or unethical use of AI technologies. Authors must also ensure that research adheres to ethical guidelines regarding participant consent, privacy, and data protection.

  • Accountability and Authorship: The journal expects that all contributors to a research project are appropriately acknowledged, and that authorship is assigned based on substantial contributions to the research. Authors are responsible for the content of the manuscript, regardless of any AI tools used in the process.

  • Adherence to Scopus Regulations: In compliance with Scopus’ publication standards, IJMEBA upholds the integrity of all submitted research, ensuring that all manuscripts align with the ethical requirements stipulated by Scopus. This includes strict guidelines on the use of Generative AI, ensuring that all AI-assisted content is in full compliance with ethical publication practices.
