Archiving Policy

ARCHIVING AND DIGITAL PRESERVATION POLICY

The International Journal of Management, Economic, Business and Accounting (IJMEBA) is committed to maintaining the long-term availability, integrity, accessibility, and preservation of its published scholarly content.

  1. Publisher-Managed Preservation

PT. Berkah Digital Teknologi, as the publisher of IJMEBA, maintains regular backups of the journal’s website, database, article files, metadata, editorial records, and other essential publishing materials. Backups are maintained separately from the journal’s active website to support restoration in the event of technical failure, data corruption, cybersecurity incidents, or service disruption.

The publisher periodically reviews the accessibility and integrity of the journal’s digital content. Where necessary, files and metadata may be migrated to updated systems or formats to maintain accessibility and compatibility with current technologies.

  1. Persistent Identification and Metadata

Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). Article metadata, including the title, authors, abstract, keywords, publication date, volume, issue, pages, references, license, and DOI, is registered with Crossref.

DOIs provide persistent identification and support reliable linking to the official version of record. If the journal’s website address or publishing platform changes, IJMEBA will update the relevant DOI destination URLs and metadata records to preserve access to published articles.

  1. Repository Deposit and Distributed Availability

IJMEBA allows and encourages authors to deposit versions of their work in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, and other appropriate non-commercial scholarly platforms.

Authors may deposit the following versions:

  • Preprint: the version submitted before peer review;

  • Accepted manuscript: the version accepted after peer review but before final copyediting and layout; and

  • Version of record: the final published version prepared and published by IJMEBA.

No embargo period applies to the deposit of these versions. When depositing an accepted manuscript or version of record, authors should provide the complete citation and DOI link to the article originally published in IJMEBA.

  1. National and Scholarly Discovery Services

IJMEBA distributes bibliographic information and article metadata through relevant scholarly discovery and indexing services. These services improve the discoverability and distributed availability of the journal’s published record. Indexing and discovery services complement, but do not replace, the journal’s digital preservation arrangements.

  1. Journal Transfer or Cessation

If IJMEBA is transferred to another publisher or publishing platform, PT. Berkah Digital Teknologi will take reasonable measures to ensure the secure transfer of journal files, metadata, editorial records, DOI management, and publication history.

If IJMEBA ceases publication, the publisher will make reasonable efforts to maintain public access to previously published articles through the journal website, publisher-managed archives, repositories, or another appropriate preservation service. Existing DOI records will be maintained and updated whenever necessary to direct users to an accessible version of the published content.

  1. Access to Preserved Content

Published articles preserved under this policy will remain accessible in accordance with the journal’s Open Access Statement and the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), except where specific third-party material is subject to different copyright or licensing conditions.

Questions regarding digital preservation, archived content, or access to published articles may be directed to the IJMEBA Editorial Office through the official contact information provided on the journal website.
