The term “Plesiran” originates from a word commonly used in Indonesian society, particularly in Javanese culture, to describe travelling for leisure, recreation, exploring new places, and gaining social and cultural experiences. In the context of this journal, “Plesiran” is interpreted more broadly as tourism and leisure activities that are not solely oriented toward entertainment but also encompass destination management, cultural and environmental preservation, community empowerment, service innovation, and sustainable tourism development. Therefore, the name PLESIRAN represents the spirit of exploration, learning, innovation, and sustainability in the fields of tourism, leisure, and destination management.

PLESIRAN: Journal of Tourism, Leisure, and Sustainable Innovation Management is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes scholarly works in the fields of tourism, leisure studies, hospitality, sustainability, innovation, and management. The journal provides a platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, policy makers, and industry stakeholders to disseminate empirical, conceptual, and review-based studies that contribute to the advancement of sustainable tourism and leisure development.

The journal is published by XJurnal and accepts manuscripts in English or Bahasa Indonesia, while encouraging authors to prepare manuscripts with international academic standards. Editors can revise the paper without changing the substance and content after a blind review process. The articles sent by the author must be an original script and is not being considered for publication by other journal or publishers.
