Editorial and Peer-Review Process

Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to evaluate their relevance to the journal's aims and scope, scholarly quality, originality, methodological adequacy, ethical compliance, and conformity with the Author Guidelines.

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are normally evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process by at least two independent reviewers with appropriate expertise.

The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other during the review process.

The final publication decision is based on scholarly merit, reviewer evaluations, author revisions, ethical compliance, and the independent judgment of the Editor-in-Chief or designated handling editor.

Publication Model

JAMBAK publishes two regular issues each year:

  • Number 1: January–June

  • Number 2: July–December

The journal applies a Continuous Publication / Issue in Progress model. Articles that have successfully completed peer review, revision, acceptance, copyediting, and production may be published within the currently active issue without waiting for all articles in that issue to be completed.

Once an issue has been formally closed, new articles are not retrospectively inserted into that issue.

Open Access and Licensing

JAMBAK provides immediate open access to its published content.

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing lawful sharing and adaptation provided appropriate attribution is given to the author(s) and the original publication.

Editorial decisions are independent of commercial, institutional, financial, political, or personal influence.
